Creating the Future of Car Play Together

A miniature car DIY-built from the desire to “make a car.”

A “mini car” refers to a single-seat vehicle equipped with an engine with a total displacement of over 20cc and up to 50cc, or a rated output of over 0.25 kW and up to 0.6 kW. This particular vehicle was almost entirely built by Hirotaka Toyonaga “Self-Made”, a graduate of a mechanical engineering program at a technical high school in Chiba Prefecture and currently a mechanic at our company. He primarily repurposed motorcycle parts while designing and fabricating the frame, suspension arms, and other components himself.

46,000 km traveled

now stepping into the next phase with ICOMA

As of October 14, 2025, this vehicle has already been driven 46,688 km on public roads in Japan. Leveraging the expertise and technology of Tatamo! Bike, a project is underway to further refine its specifications and exterior design. Updates include a movable steering system, an easy-to-access foldable hood, and upgraded suspension and wheels for enhanced driving performance. The vehicle is planned to return to public roads once these improvements are completed.

For updates on this project, please visit our official website or the Self-Made official YouTube channel.
